Visit Perry County, Missouri
In
Perryville,
stands St. Mary's of the Barrens Church (1827) and
the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. The Faherty House, located at 11 S. Spring Street, was originally constructed by Henry Burns in 1825. The Perry County Museum is located at the entrance of the Perryville City Park in the Doerr House.
Outside
the city limits is Perry County Lake , and near the
river are the old German settled villages of Altenburg,
Concordia Log College/Seminary (1839), Frohna, Saxon
Lutheran Memorial , nearby Tower Rock and Tower Rock Winery and Vineyards. Be
sure to visit the beautiful outdoor Shrine of Our Lady
of St. Joseph in a natural waterfall at Apple Creek. |
