Visit St. Francois County, Missouri

     The area from Fredericktown north to Bonne Terre was once the world's largest lead-mining district. At Bonne Terre Mine, tour the world's largest man-made caverns and visit the historic Shephard House Museum. At St. Francois State Park you can camp, hike, and canoe. St Joe State Park offers camping, hiking, and off-road vehicle areas as well as the Missouri Mines State Historic Site.
